2023: London

In 2023 the girls & I visited London for a week (17-7 until 24-7). We went by Eurostar again (premier standard, to be fancy). I'd gotten us a London Pass for 3 days. I highly recommend getting a pass if you plan on doing a lot of things in London. Not everything is included, but you can cram in a lot in 3 days if you want to. Do keep in mind that for some things, you still need to make a reservation, even if you have a London Pass (like the Royal Albert Hall tour, Kensington Palace and the escaperoom).

Our itinerary looked like this:

17-7: travel day (arriving in London around 22.00)

18-7: Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral, London Bridge Experience

19-7: Kensington Palace, Westminster Abbey

20-7 Royal Albert Hall Tour, escape room (Sherlock: The Game is Now)

21-7: Churchill War Rooms, Cecil Court, Phantom of the Opera

22-7: National Gallery, Leadenhall Market, Jack the Ripper tour

23-7: Hyde Park, Camden Market

24-7: travel day (return home, arriving around 18.30)

One thing we learned from the year before is that you don't want to overdo things. It is a lot of walking, even if you just visit two major sites a day. You also want to have so proper time to eat a bit or to relax.

Whereas I blogged about our trip the year before, in 2023 I didn't. We had a great time though!
